HANDLING CARGOES IN BULK |
Bulk cargoes often contribute the largest proportion to the total cargo quantity handled by PTSC Phu My Port each year (70-80%). The carriers are often big vessels like handymax or panamax ones (coal, agricultural products, or iron ore vessels); thus handling capacity also reaches the highest rate compared to other types of cargoes thanks to the support of modern warehouses/yard systems to release vessels as quickly as possible. The warehouse system alone has a capacity of storing about 80,000 tons of bulk cargo.
With a complete warehouse/yard system and equipment, PTSC Phu My Port can meet customers' requirements related to discharging/loading rate commitment and ensure the cargo shrinkage rate at a low level compared to the other ports’ in the local area.
